The Reykjavik Open Pub Quiz has become a mainstay and one of the main events of the side-events calendar of the Reykjavik Open.
This year it was held at the Plaza Hotel and well over 20 teams were formed to compete for the coveted title of Pub Quiz champion which was previously won in 2015 by World Champion Magnus Carlsen with his friend Jon Ludvig Hammer.
After a fierce fight with several strong teams contending the team of Lennart Ootes and Arne Moll came out on top with 25 correct answers out of 30. Trailing them was the team of Mihail Marin and Elisabeth Paetz with 23.5 and an Icelandic team led by Adalsteinn Thorarensen also had the same score.
