Iceland is one of the greatest chess loving nations with a long history of spectacular events. This year is no different. The 2013 Reykjavik Open will feature a number of strong players, including Maxime Vachier-Lagrave, former World Junior Champion, and reigning SPICE Cup Champion, and the top 3 juniors in the world: Anish Giri, Yu Yangyi, and Wesley So (Webster University freshman).
Other big names include Navara, Cheparinov, Bu, Eljanov, Ding Liren, Short, etc. If you have never been to Reykjavik, this tournament is one big reason to go. Even if you cannot make it this year, be sure to check out all the live action online.
