Quite remarkably with a round to go we already have a winner of the 2015 Reykjavik Open. The 11th seed, Erwin L’Ami, has left everybody in the dust and leads the field with 1,5 points. So far Erwin has only allowed one draw but has managed to win all his other games and most of them in slightly better endgames.
We are very pleased on behalf of L’Ami and indeed for both of them (Alina his wife) as they have become tournament regulars and clearly like playing here a lot. Not to bad to have such a prestigious and impressive tournament victory on one’s resumé.
We again congratulate Erwin and wish everybody the best of luck in the final round tomorrow!
