The Polish Grandmaster Lukasz Jarmula is still leading after 5 rounds at the Reykjavik Open. Jarmula was finally stopped in the 5th round by Idani Pouya, but “stopped” in this case means stopped from winning all his games! The game ended in a draw after Jarmula defended tenaciously in a long game. At one point it looked like we would see the interesting 2 knights vs pawn endgame!
Nobody on 3,5 managed to win their game so Jurmala still leads with 4,5 points. Hans Niemann won a nice game and pulled up to 4 points. The leading pack is still very tight so anything can still happen!
