The Icelandic Chess Federation will organize the European Individual Championship 2021. The tournament will be a part of the Reykjavik Open festival.
Currently planned dates are April 7th-21st in Harpa concert hall and conference center, Reykjavik. Of course, there is uncertainty regarding dates due to the Corona-pandemic.
The tournament will be the main event of the Reykjavik Open Festival in 2021. A shorter tournament will be organized, aimed at visitors from outside Europe, and those who are reluctant to play 11 rounds in 11 days but would like to take part in this festival.
A formal invitation letter will be sent in due time.
