The Reykjavik Open 2025 will be held from April 9th till April 15th. These dates are final! We will once again play in the magnificent Harpa Conference Hall at the heart of downtown Reykjavik.
Here is our preliminary schedule but it’s subject to change when we know more about other events at the venue. Again, the dates are final but the schedule could change. The biggest change is that we are planning the blitz tournament on the evening before the 1st round! Last year it was only possible before or after a double round day which can be grueling!

Once again 9 rounds will be played and the timecontrol 90+30 with 30 secounds added at move 40. Byes will be possible up to and including the 7th round.
